Principal Program Chief Engineer - Ejection and Propulsion (Onsite)
This position is for a Program Chief supporting various development and product sustainment programs. The program chief is the primary technical interface to the customer and has the primary accountability for meeting technical requirements and scope for the program including cost and schedule. They lead the development of work methods, develops overall systems strategy, provide support and guidance to various technical teams, and approve common work practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
Primary technical interface to the customer and has the primary accountability for meeting technical requirements and scope for the program including cost and schedule.Directs technical system-level trade studies and has design authority approval.Ensures processes are adhered to by the engineering execution team and liaises with program management and IPT leads to assure technical goals are achieved.Responsible for capturing lessons learned.Take ownership of technical project execution through Design & Development activities into ProductionLead project activities, provide technical guidance, and motivate multi-disciplinary engineering teams ensuring collaboration of Engineering and Production activitiesCoordinate project staffing with Engineering Management and provide timely forecasts of staffing demandPerform Risks & Opportunities Management activities throughout project executionTrack, report, and analyze project health metrics, to include Earned Value, Requirements, Test Burndown, Software/Hardware Discovery and QualityPresent project status to multiple levels of LeadershipSupport internal and external stakeholders as the primary technical point of contactSupport Pursuit & Order capture activities including bidding & estimation efforts for new projects. This will include activities such as proposal response, development of the work breakdown structure and statement of work, support technical design approach, and creation of project scheduleEvaluate & document current (and define future) architectures to solve business problemsBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required Must be a U.S. citizenPreferred Qualifications:

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 224,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
