Position Specific Description
Evaluates design aspects of major components for large scale energy storage projects. Prepares technical scopes of work for incorporation into contract documents. Provides major updates on construction challenges, project status and ESS production while driving home solutions for any issues that arise. Understands and supports Engineering with compliance of applicable technical and regulatory requirements for Energy Storage Batteries. Participates in negotiating contractual Quality Control requirements with Suppliers and 3rd party auditors. Influences and informs cross functional teams of the engineering aspects of current and new product specifications. Collaborates with suppliers to successfully integrate Energy Storage Equipment Collaborates with multi-disciplined teams for problem solving, improvement opportunities, cost efficiencies and quality control. Analyzes responses to complex bid requests, points out technical differences, and supports succinct recommendations in selecting appropriate suppliers for contract awards. Conducts industry analysis and evaluates supplier technical performance and analyzes proficiencies and detractors from our current operating equipment. Analyzes, tracks and projects real-time market research for Raw Material Indices (RMI) associated with anode and cathode materials for Energy Storage Batteries. Efforts include supporting cost modeling for the current battery industry and participate in a critical role of driving strategic decision-making and cost efficiency in a rapidly evolving battery supply chain. Provides market data to support supplier selection, qualification, technical competencies and on-going performance management. Manage ongoing relationships with suppliers’ technical teams through continuous communication and clearly articulate their performance to senior leadership. Support contract negotiation, and review terms and conditions with suppliers, focusing on securing favorable performance guarantees, warranty terms, and streamlined product integration / commissioning.
