Position Specific Description
Employees in this role are responsible for working with a multidisciplinary team to evaluate acquisitions and divestitures, maintain reserves, evaluate well performance, perform reservoir studies, run economics, high grade inventory & acreage, and support asset functional groups in the development of several onshore unconventional assets. Experience with reservoir asset management & workflows, type curve creation, RTA, reserves, and economic evaluation is highly preferred. The candidate should be able to provide reliable data and present findings in a clear and concise manner. This is a senior level engineering role; the successful candidate will operate independently and proactively across 3+ assets to drive value.  Hands on ARIES and RTA experience is required; Spotfire experience a plus.


Job Overview 
This job is responsible for performing highly skilled engineering analysis. Employees in this role are responsible for rigorous technical analysis to deliver an accurate forecast of current and future well production, working with asset teams to optimize asset development, and evaluating well performance and upside potential for asset acquisition and divestment.

 
Job Duties & Responsibilities
•    Provide rigorous technical analysis to deliver accurate forecasts of both producing and future wells
•    Work closely with the Subsurface team to identify key productivity and performance drivers across the assets
•    Collaborate closely with cross-functional team to recommend optimal development plans given corporate priorities
•    Perform asset-based reservoir workflows such as AFEs, monthly volume outlooks, well review, flowback analysis, and completion optimization routines
•    Evaluate and recommend new acquisition opportunities including large asset level acquisitions, smaller bolt on opportunities, and non-op/mineral packages.
•    Perform technical reservoir studies to support performance enhancement and development efficiency including RTA, DFIT, PVT, reservoir simulation, etc. 
•    Leverage new technology and industry trends to support business solutions
•    Mentor less experienced reservoir engineers and provide guidance


Preferred Qualifications
•    12+ years of experience as a reservoir engineer
•    Experience working for an oil and gas operator
•    Experience with IHS Harmony or similar RTA package
•    Advanced level of competency with ARIES
•    Experience with SQL and Spotfire 

Job Overview

This job is responsible for performing expert level analytical engineering functions. Employees in this role are responsible for evaluating well performance and upside potential for asset acquisition and divestment, log analysis, working with operators in picking perforations and completing techniques, integrating with various groups to forecast production and revenue, and other projects as assigned.
