Becoming the best airline is an adventure. And our Pricing & Revenue Management team is providing fuel for that journey by ensuring that we maximize our ticket revenue on every single flight across our network – both domestically and internationally – while giving our customers various product offerings for their travel. By analyzing market trends and forecasting consumer demand, this team works hard to ensure we are selling the right number of tickets at the right price to optimize our revenue and run a profitable airline.

Key Responsibilities:

Principal –Revenue Integrity is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of processes to reduce revenue leakage. Work scope includes identifying persistent patterns, policy loopholes, system defects, fraudulent activities, and finding solutions to mitigate their impacts. Focus on Travel Management Companies (TMCs) as well as any third-party travel distribution channels. The Principal provides subject matter expertise by participating in various projects and advocating for changes that improve the revenue quality of United. Additional responsibility for mentoring and providing direction to other RI analysts who will assist with execution and delivery of data analysis to support project objectives. As required, the Principal may need to work outside of normal business hours to support system releases, or to address time-critical needs

Recapture Revenue: Develop, implement, and maintain processes that allow United to monitor violations of United's Sales Contracts, Booking and Ticketing Policy, Contract of Carriage, and MileagePlus Program Rules, and recover revenue loss from such violations. Working in close communication/coordination with the Sales team to implement actions to stop revenue leakageLead ad-hoc analytics projects: Provide strategic management support to other revenue integrity analysts, and to perform analysis and present findings for ad-hoc projects.RI system support and innovation: Provide expertise on technical and functional issues related to Revenue Integrity’s automation. Coordinate with the IT team and system users to document business requirement and conduct testing in order to enhance the system and/or remedy defectsContinuous Improvement: Identify areas for ongoing improvement and collaborate with relevant partners to promote standard methodologies.Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience4+ years in analyst role, revenue management / revenue integrityKnowledge of airline distribution systems and modelsStrong data analytical background with experience in data mining.Ability to present findings in a format that will allow collaborators to make effective decisionsExcellent oral and written communication skillsEffective communication and mentoring abilitiesStrong ability to understand business dynamicsAbility to maintain confidentialityAbility to travel for meetings and trainingsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

Master's degree or equivalent experience1+ year in people leader role within airline revenue management or revenue integrityKnowledge of TMC workflows, accounting systems and compensation modelsUnderstanding of customer contracting cyclesExperience or knowledge in Finance, Network Planning, Revenue Management, Marketing, Loyalty, and AlliancesPrior experience with United Sales Tools: U4B Blueprint, Seismic, Customer360 and PowerBIProficient in Salesforce
The base pay range for this role is $99,750.00 to $135,960.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
