Job Title: Principal Safety Assessment Specialist
Job Type: Contract
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Start Date: ASAP, subject to clearance
Duration: 18 months
Pay Rate: £98.46 Umbrella / £73.28 PAYE per hour
Location: Reading
Hybrid/Remote Working: Mainly on-site working with occasional remote working days, no travel
Hours of Work: 40 hours

Role Information:
* Provide extensive specialist subject matter expertise in the assessment of major hazards associated with actual, planned and/or decommissioned facilities, plant, equipment or product.
* Advise on strategies for the development of safety assessments (safety case/safety basis/risk assessments).
* Develop and deliver complex safety analyses, assessments and associated documentation
* Lead and manage the technical input to the planning and production of safety documentation.
* Delivers safety assessments and other technical safety documentation to agreed standards.

Applicants must posses the following:
* Experience of undertaking hazard analysis within the nuclear sector
* Experience in the management of safety cases
* A background in the nuclear sector and of carrying out safety cases/assessments
* Ability to write safety case documents of a technical nature
* Posses strong stakeholder management skills in order to work with delivery partners
