Our client is seeking a highly skilled Principal Safety Engineer to join their team in The Hague, Netherlands for a 12-month contract on a large Sustainable Aviation Fuels project. Applicants will provide technical expertise, manage and produce safety engineering activities and deliverables, and lead a small team of Safety Engineers.

Role Overview

Leadership skills in Safety Engineering with ability to handle complex multi-office projects. Plan and manage work, including financial aspects and effective management of change. Understand project business case and reflect it in work environment. Implement latest technology and methods to improve efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with project management and other disciplines as an efficient team.

Skills & Qualifications

Significant technical experience in Process Safety Studies such as HAZOP and LOPA and Hazardous Area Classification. Ability to check deliverables produced by the team. Ownership of scope, budget, and schedule. Ability to work independently and report to project engineer/manager or Lead Engineer.

Education & Experience

Bachelor or Master's Degree in Engineering. Extensive experience in Lead Safety Engineering role. Experience in developing Safety Engineering scope in Concept, FEED, and Detailed Design project phases.
