Our client is seeking a Principal Safety Engineer with expertise in Fire Protection to join their team for a 12-month contract in The Hague, Netherlands. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large project and lead a small team of Safety Engineers.

Role Overview

Manage and produce Safety Engineering activities and deliverables for the project. Provide technical advice and guidance to ensure regulatory compliance and environmental safety. Lead a small team of Safety Engineers and provide strong direction for project success. Plan and manage work, including financial aspects and effective management of change. Implement the latest technology and methods to improve efficiency and productivity. Take personal responsibility for safety and a healthy work environment. Collaborate with project management and other disciplines to ensure project success. Excellent communication and coordination skills, both verbal and written.

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor or Master's degree in Engineering. Expertise in Safety Engineering, with demonstrable experience at Lead Engineer level. Expertise in Fire Protection, including Fire Protection Philosophy, Active and Passive Fire Protection, Fire and Gas Detection. Experience with Dutch Fire Protection Documents for Dutch Authorities (Dutch language essential). Ability to check deliverables produced by the team and demonstrate a proactive mentality. In-depth knowledge of Pipenet/KY Pipe and possession of a driver's license.
