Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal or Senior Principal Project Management role to support our F-35/Launch Team. This candidate will join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in Iuka, MS.
This role is in person supporting 9/80 A work schedule at our Iuka, MS site and does not require an active or in scope security clearance to start.
Position Description:
The successful candidates will coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure schedule and technical objectives are being met. Working closely with our F-35 and Launch teams with predominate scope of work supporting the F-35 program. This candidate will assist with execution, prepare briefing material for both customers and leadership, and ensure seamless integration with other teams to achieve program objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Scheduling
F-35
Develop, maintain, and optimize IMS (integrated master schedule), shipping and remastering schedules to ensure on-time delivery and efficient resource utilization.Collaborate with cross functional teams to align production goals with program requirements.Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks to production schedules.Manage baseline schedules, load demand/maintain ERP/MRP Systems, define/generate/maintain QBD’s monthly (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Project, Tableau, MES, OpenPlan).Launch:
Schedule: (IMS and work center schedules, schedule metrics for reporting)Production Execution (Board Walks, Coordinating Workflow, Removing Roadblocks / Issues)Metrics & Performance Tracking

Create and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production planning and scheduling.Provide regular reports and recommendations to leadership on production performance and schedule attainment.Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as the primary interface for internal team & customers regarding production planning and scheduling.Provide status updates and respond to leadership & customer inquiries related to program performance regarding production planning and schedulingEnsure leadership requirements/Earned Value Management requirements are integrated into production plans and schedules.Program Management Support

Act as a delegate of authority for the F-35 Program Manager as needed.Provide leadership support, including decision-making and issue resolution, in the Program Manager’s absence.Assist in managing scope and risk assessments for the program.Understand Earned Value Management program requirements.Manage multiple work packages for Program Manager and present if needed.Participate in Risk and Opportunity ManagementParticipate in proposal activities for new projectsProvide upwards reporting for senior management program reviews.Program Health & Working Team Collaboration
