The Solution Experiences team is seeking a Principal Full Stack Software Engineer to help drive the development of onboarding and navigation experiences within the Smartsheet application. You will work with a variety of technologies, including AI and OpenSearch, while leveraging the latest web technologies to their fullest potential. You will report to our Director, Engineering located in our Bellevue, WA office, or you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.
You Will:
Build scalable back-end services for the next generation of applications at Smartsheet (Kotlin, Java) Solve challenging distributed systems problems and work with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, ECS, Kubernetes) Take a leading role in designing key areas of scalable, performant systems Influence technical direction of the group towards creating a comprehensive service-oriented architecture Guide and mentor team members regarding architecture and best practices Review and coach team on project designs for design review presentations Forge strong partnership with product management and other key areas of the businessYou Have:
10+ years software development experience building highly scalable, highly available applications 10+ years of programming experience with full stack technologies such Java, Kotlin or TypeScript 4+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) Front end experience using React or similar technologies Experience developing, documenting, and supporting REST APIs A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience. Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
