This is an opportunity for a senior technocrat, who is passionate about Engineering innovative web services and truly enjoys what they do. As part of this team, you will have an exciting opportunity to be involved in the full project lifecycle of our next generation products and systems which currently enable our teams to streamline activities across all areas of the business.
As a member of UKG, you will have the opportunity to contribute and participate in the following capacities:
• Senior member of the team who is responsible for analysis, design and development of features to meet new customer requirements
• Participate in a fast-paced Agile development team building full-scale software systems
• Design and build advanced software solutions that scale and meet business requirements
• Collaborate closely with senior members and architects of other teams to understand and help in conceptualizing the software architecture
• Ensures adherence of the development team to the architectural vision of the product and also ensuring that associated designs follow that vision
• Collaborate with other members of the team, product owners, quality engineering team members, and documentation writers to ensure appropriate implementation of business requirements
• Collaborate closely with architects to design and conceptualize solutions for multi-tenant / SaaS based offering of the product.
• Assume a mentoring role for other developers, building the skills of less experienced team members, and proactively suggesting process improvements
• Contribute to the suite of automated testing using FlexUnit, Junit, SoapUI
• Participates in the writing of technical documents (functional specifications, design documents, etc.) as required
• Review product requirements in order to give development estimates and product feedback
• Design and develop our core web application using service-oriented architecture exposing APIs for internal and external clients.
• Implement architecture and design patterns to help ensure that systems scale
• Establish processes and best practices around development standards
• Apply technical expertise to challenging architecture and design problems
• Demonstrate good analytical abilities, attention to detail and strong verbal & written communication skills in English
• Demonstrates accountability and ownership for high quality product releases to internal and external customers
Preferred Qualifications
• 12+ years of experience in in a fast-paced environment, working through all phases of the software development lifecycle
• Strong experience in enterprise-grade web application development using C#/.NET, MVC, WEB API, Hibernate and Entity Framework
• Knowledge of SQL / MongoDB and database design
• Strong Knowledge of PostgreSQL, .Net Core and Angular
• Proven expertise in creating innovative technical design and technical specifications
• Ability to work and communicate clearly and efficiently with team members
• Strong knowledge of Web Standards and Technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
• A proponent of continuous integration, unit testing and automation, Strong experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery process (CI/CD)
• Excellent debugging/troubleshooting skills
• Ability to communicate information effectively to customers at various organizational levels
• Working knowledge of GIT, TeamCity/Jenkins
• Familiarity with JIRA is a plus
• Experience with enterprise-scale systems is a major plus
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes infrastructure
• Experience with Cloud providers (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization (e.g., Docker)
• Mandatory - Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology and TDD (Test Driven Development)
• Experience developing and deploying SaaS applications and services into production.
• Prior experience with building state of the art User Interfaces in latest web technologies
• Able to mentor and guide developers and lead technically a team - Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus
• Able to deliver design and estimates for features that can span both backend and front end technologies. Excellent English written and oral communication skills
