Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Principal Software Engineer to help manage the development organizations Governance and Quality. This role is pivotal in overseeing and enhancing the development practices across multiple teams, ensuring high-quality code delivery, and guiding teams through their cloud transformation journey. Key Responsibilities: Technical Oversight & Governance (80%): * Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and design patterns across development teams * Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards * Mentor and guide developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence * Collaborate with team leads to identify and address technical challenges and bottlenecks * Develop and implement strategies to improve software development processes and workflows Hands-On Development & Support (20%): * Engage directly with codebases to understand technical issues and provide solutions * Assist teams in troubleshooting complex problems and implementing effective fixes * Stay updated with emerging technologies and assess their applicability to current projects Cloud Transformation Leadership: * Guide teams through the transition from traditional VM-based deployments to cloud-native architectures * Provide expertise in containerization, orchestration, and cloud services to facilitate smooth migrations * Ensure that cloud adoption aligns with organizational goals and best practices
