Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Marketplace product development team, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

As a member of the OCI Marketplace product development team you will be a technical lead designing, implementing complex and scalable software services deployed across the globe with a consistent focus on quality and timeliness. You will be a development lead, be a collaborator and lead operational excellence in the team. You will be a mentor for other engineers in the Marketplace organization.

We’re looking for a a seasoned software developer with expertise and passion in solving difficult problems in distributed systems, building valuable experiences for customers and creating highly available web services that operate at internet scale. We need strong engineering leaders to build new services from scratch in addition to polishing existing services.

Qualifications:

7+ years’ experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems Strong knowledge on designing and developing RESTful webservices (using JAX-RS, jersey, etc) Strong knowledge of modern object oriented languages (Java/C++), databases, NoSQL systems, storage and distributed persistence technologies. Proven background in data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals. Practical knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures. Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
