Your Impact:

As a Principal Solutions Consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting global leaders across various industries, including retail, CPG, automotive, high tech, life sciences, and financial services. Your expertise in B2B electronic exchanges will help these organizations overcome complex integration challenges, ensuring secure information exchange and robust data governance. By enabling seamless system integration and insightful data management, you will empower clients to make critical business decisions and maintain their competitive edge.

 

What the Role Offers:

Collaborate closely with the Sales team (Account Directors, Account Executives, and Customer Managers) to expand OpenText Business Network services. Lead the technical qualification, solution design, and project proposal phases of the sales process, ensuring alignment with OpenText's service portfolio. Engage in in-depth discovery and analysis of customer requirements, identifying opportunities for business process improvements and technology initiatives. Work alongside Product Managers, Architects, and Implementation & Delivery teams to scope and document projects, ensuring smooth transitions from sales to implementation and operations. Design and present compelling solutions and business cases to customers, addressing both technical and executive-level audiences. Provide ongoing technical support to qualified prospects through coaching, proof of concept support, live demonstrations, troubleshooting, and best practices consulting. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the OpenText technology portfolio to communicate potential business process and solution support.

What You Need to Succeed:

A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, pre-sales, consulting, or delivery roles, preferably in B2B and/or A2A services. A comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain business processes across multiple industries, including retail, CPG, automotive, high tech, life sciences, manufacturing, and financial services. A conceptual understanding of various ERP systems and integration, including SAP, Oracle, Infor, Microsoft, both on-premises and cloud. Experience in architecting B2B exchange models and A2A integration patterns, including cloud-to-cloud service paradigms. Proven consulting experience with customers at all levels, from operational staff to CxO. The ability to understand, analyze, and develop appropriate solutions for customer needs, including products and services. Experience with global service models, including SLAs, OLAs, service governance, data center operations, ongoing customer management, and change management. Excellent customer relations skills, with strong written and verbal communication. Proficiency in Italian and English, with additional proficiency in Spanish or French being advantageous. A team-oriented attitude while enjoying a high level of independence. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Data Science. The ability to travel occasionally (10-15%) across France and Southern Europe. The role is based in Milan, Italy.
