Principal Solutions Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Solutions Engineer (e.g. Lead SE, Staff SE, Principal SE) to join our Australian Solutions Engineering team. What You’ll Do:
As a Principal Solutions Engineer, you will be at the forefront of driving technical pre-sales activities for HubSpot’s most sophisticated customers. You'll work closely with our sales teams, solutions engineers, and other cross-functional groups to deliver tailored, value-driven solutions that meet customer needs.

Key responsibilities include:

Collaborate with Sales Teams: Partner with Account Executives to understand customer needs and develop technical strategies to meet those needs. Lead Technical Pre-Sales Engagements: Drive conversations around integration, data migration, and custom technical solutions. Customer Advocacy: Be the voice of the customer by providing feedback to our product teams, ensuring customer needs are prioritized in future product developments. Mentor and Coach Sales Teams: Guide and train Account Executives on HubSpot’s capabilities, helping them create value-oriented solutions for prospects. Global Collaboration: Work closely with SEs across the globe on initiatives that improve team processes and customer outcomes.   Who You Are

You’re a seasoned technical expert with a customer-facing mindset. You are passionate about problem-solving, driven by continuous learning, and have the ability to communicate complex solutions in clear, compelling ways.

The ideal candidate will:

Have 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Consulting). Be a storyteller: You can convey technical concepts in a way that resonates with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Focus on customer needs: You understand business challenges and craft solutions that drive measurable value. Exhibit problem-solving skills: You can break down complex challenges and translate them into actionable solutions. Thrive in collaboration: You work well with cross-functional teams and contribute to a supportive, growth-oriented environment. Bring technical expertise in API integrations, data migrations, and technical architecture. Familiarity with HubSpot or similar CRM platforms is a plus.   Our Team Culture
