We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Contracts supporting the Enterprise Space and Mission Systems (ESMS) mission area within the Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU). This role will support the GPS OCX Program. As a key member of this Contract's team, this position will support the day-to-day contract execution for a high visibility program with focus on delivering and sustaining complex software-based systems to support our Space Community and the Department of Defense (DoD) customers. The position will report directly to the Senior Manager, Contracts within the ESMS Product Area and will need to collaborate closely with various Program Managers and other Cross-functional teams.

What you Will Do

Interface with customers for correspondence, contractual changes and contractual issues

Influence others through the explanation of facts, policies and practices

Investigate and resolve contractual matters by critically thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking innovative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders

Provide advice/guidance on contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes

Occasional travel to other domestic Raytheon sites and customer locations

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Experience in the administration, negotiations and/or management of contracts, procurement, supply chain, U.S. Government DoD, Federal and/or State or Municipal contracts administrated and/or support functions

Qualifications We Prefer

Demonstrated ability to deliver solutions and contribute to results

Experience in proposals development

Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)Ability to collaborate effectively with geographically disperse internal and external partners

Strong decision making within a defined framework

Able to use clear and concise written and verbal communications

Self-motivated to identify own learning opportunities and engagement

Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
