What You Will Learn:

Solipsys Corporation is actively seeking an experienced Principal Specialist, Contracts  professional to join our team.  The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative, flexible Contracts team responsible for the management and administration of a diverse portfolio of contracts and a broad range of activities.

As a contracts professional, you will be interacting with internal and external customers daily to provide excellent customer service and represent the organization on contractual matters. This position is for an experienced contracts manager with solid proficiency in the formation and administration of government and commercial contracts.

This position is based in Fulton, MD reporting to the Solipsys Contracts Director. 

What You Will Do:

Assess both sole source and competitive business pursuits, analyze RFPs and RFQs, assist in quote and proposal review, contract/terms & conditions negotiation and provide general contract administration responsibilities to include customer engagement and collaboration.

Act as primary customer interface for business on assigned program contracting matters.

Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate contractual/program risks.

Work as a collaborative team member with Capture Leads, Program Managers, Finance and Business/Estimating functions to construct, submit and negotiate pricing proposals; providing support to senior management regarding contractual and business issues; ensuring that negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies while creating quality business results.

Recognize contractual issues in program performance and work with program team to implement solutions.

Ensure proper internal flow down of contractual obligations and requirements.

Work in partnership with Finance on invoice management to ensure prompt payment from customers.

Support special projects, audits, process improvements events and other duties, as assigned.

Maintain compliant contract files.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Experience administering DoD contracts with in-depth knowledge of the FAR/DFARS.

Demonstrated experience leading complex domestic and international negotiations and managing customer expectations.

Ability to understand the financial aspects of contracts and other business arrangements.

Ability to contribute to negotiation strategy and possess strong negotiation skills.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 

Qualifications We Prefer: 

Experience managing GSA/Federal Supply Schedules.

Understanding of International Contracting

Familiarity with CORE process improvement tools.

High-level business acumen with ability to recognize risk elements in business transactions.

Focus on responsiveness with strong time management, organizational skills and attention to details.

Strong MS Office experience.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
