The following position is to join our RTX Corporate team:
The Principal Specialist, Employee Engagement Communications is a strong writer and strategist, with the ability to develop, lead and execute internal communications plans aligned to both product and employee initiatives. The ideal candidate is a creative, driven and enthusiastic strategic communicator who is experienced in client and project management.
What You Will Do
+ Lead employee communications planning and execution for two Strategic Business Units (SBU) in the Collins Aerospace business
+ Partner closely with the Global Business Communications team and business leaders to develop and execute employee communications aligned to SBU, business and enterprise-level priorities, including development of messaging and content
+ In partnership with the Global Business Communications team, support internal executive communications strategy and execution for SBU presidents
+ Collaborate with teammates from across the Communications function to support and deploy communications campaigns, initiatives and best practices to elevate communications efforts with the two assigned SBUs
+ Execute communications tactics including, but not limited to, newsletter/email distribution, video production, town hall support, executive communication support, survey tools and more.
+ Track internal metrics, reporting and trendspotting to optimize internal communications
+ Lead employee communications for one of the Collins integrated business campaigns, as assigned
+ Lead employee communications for Tier 1 tradeshows, as assigned
+ Provide surge support across the Collins Employee Engagement team, as assigned
+ Travel up to 10%, or as needed.
Qualifications You Must Have
+ Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience in a Communications-related field
+ Previous experience drafting internal communications strategies, with exceptional written, verbal, and social communication skills.
+ U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. Citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

+ Demonstrated interest in seeking out innovative approaches to audience engagement
+ Self-starter with a natural curiosity and drive to bring projects to completion
+ Adept at building relationships in a remote environment

+ Hybrid; hybrid employees work both onsite and offsite, regularly. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
+ Hybrid locations include Farmington, CT, East Hartford, CT, Arlington, VA, Cedar Rapids, IA, or Charlotte, NC.

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey. Minimum Program Qualifications
To qualify for the RTX Re-Empower Program, candidates should:

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
