About the job:
The Red Hat North America Sales team seeks a Specialist Solutions Architect to join our North America OpenShift Strategic Workloads team. In this role, you will create possibilities, solve problems, and establish working relationships with customers. In addition, you'll collaborate with the Sales account teams across North America to bring our customers the best solutions on Red Hat OpenShift using Red Hat, ecosystem, and community solutions developed using open-source frameworks and projects. This role requires deep technical expertise in Kubernetes, automation, computational systems, hybrid cloud, and edge solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about open-source, focusing on high-performance and resource-constrained deployments, and can identify and create business solutions across enterprise technology offerings. As a Specialist Solutions Architect, you'll also need excellent communication and people skills because you'll be a vital part of the first experience our customers have with Red Hat.
What You'll Do:Support the North American sales team's OpenShift go-to-market (GTM) strategy.
Build strategic relationships with executives and key business leaders to promote Red Hat's portfolio of solutions for strategic workload profiles and deployments where performance, scalability, observability, and security are critical.
Work with the North American sales teams to design foundational architectures for strategic workloads and deployments.
Analyze and develop solutions to guide customers from the initial adoption of OpenShift to advanced implementations that utilize additional OpenShift features and complementary capabilities supporting multicluster, hybrid cloud, and security.
Articulate the benefit of OpenShift as a foundation for advanced architectures and computational systems in addition to edge and hybrid cloud architectures.
Deep dive into customers' application architectures and identify suitable OpenShift-powered computing solutions to support strategic workloads and deployments.
Work with the North American sales teams to ensure that Red Hat solutions become the first choice for Red Hat's customers; this includes creating strategic customer and partner relationships, developing and closing sustainable revenue across technologies, guiding the extended Sales team to maximize revenue growth, and forecasting and closing sales in alignment with company goals.
Support pre-sales and post-sales activities, including technical deep dives, demos, proofs of concepts, bake-offs, workshops, enablement events, product roadmap discussions, answering technical portions of RFPs and RFIs, and application portfolio reviews.
Develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and quality standards for Red Hat products.
Define the goals of a solution and devise flow charts and diagrams describing the logical operational steps of programs.
As part of pre-sales activities, help resolve software-related problems, like misconfigurations, malfunctions, and program problems.
Develop North American sales OpenShift go-to-market (GTM) content for strategic use cases.
Work closely with the Red Hat product business units and engineering teams to cultivate relationships and close the feedback loop with the field.
Develop expertise with strategic ecosystem vendor solutions running on OpenShift.
Participate in community activities such as speaking at Red Hat and community events, authoring blogs, white papers, and E-books, creating tutorials, and driving Red Hat sales messaging on social media channels.
Mentor and train others in the field to help strengthen our sales positioning capabilities and ability to scale.
What you'll Bring:Bachelor's degree (the U.S. or foreign equivalent) in computer information systems, computer science, or related field and 8+ years of experience in the job offered or related role; experience in sales is a plus.
HPC, supercomputing, simulation, or related data science/computational certifications or real-world experience.
Experience with cloud platforms, like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud; technologies like containers and Kubernetes.
Extensive knowledge of enterprise container architectures and solutions, Red Hat OpenShift, Linux, and deploying and running container solutions in private, public, and hybrid clouds.
Experience with accelerated processors and applications.
Experience with latency-sensitive and disconnected/edge applications.
Experience with hyperconverged infrastructure and highly distributed/edge workloads.
Experience with data science frameworks and deep knowledge of development and operations tools.
Experience with leading conversations at multiple levels of a customer, from DevOps to architects to developers and infrastructure.
Experience with a digital transformation effort as part of sales, consulting, or as a customer.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a record of developing relationships at technical, management, and executive levels.
Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time; travel expenses reimbursed by Red Hat, Inc.
The salary range for this position is $188,620.00 - $311,250.00 (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
