As a Principal or Senior Principal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst (Level 3 or Level 4), located in Manhattan Beach, CA you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.

The Principal or Senior Principal Program Planning and Scheduling Analyst will report to the Division Scheduling Manager and will be responsible for supporting Northrop Grumman Corporation Defense Systems programs in compliance with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) requirements and program implementation.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Provide Engineering planning/scheduling support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Control Account Managers (CAMs) to establish program baseline and manage program executionEvaluate subcontract / supplier schedules and integrate into IMSCollaborate with IPTs/CAMs to determine, monitor, and update program schedules with consideration of operational budgets, and manpower requirementsTrack plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, prepare & implement change requests, identify and resolve critical path and network logic conflictsPerform detailed schedule, resource, work, and cost analysis in deriving solutions / recommendations to address program issues with collaboration with multiple functionsDevelop and present weekly/monthly program schedule performance metrics, including Tier 1 summary schedulesCollaborate with development & production team(s) to validate project progress (i.e. Earned Value via QBDs)Interface / collaborate with the financial team to ensure program cost and schedule integrationPrepares and support major program reviews / events including Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR) and Joint Surveillance Reviews (JSR) auditsPrepare and validate month end IMS submittal to customer in accordance with contractual requirements (IPMR, IPMDAR) in conjunction with scheduling best practices as prescribed by industry to include, but not limited to: DCMA DECM compliance metrics, IPMR, IPMDAR DI-MGMT-81861, Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Critical Path Analysis, Schedule horizontal and vertical integration, Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).Understands Engineering Statement of Work (SOW), product details, and processes to provide recommendations for critical management decisions Understanding of schedule performance impacts on program financialsEffective engagement with various levels of leadershipDevelop / support new business proposal effortsParticipate in company / organization process improvement, automation, and innovation initiatives

CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE BASIC QUALIFICATIONS FOR EITHER A PRINCIPAL (LEVEL 3) OR SENIOR PRINCIPAL (LEVEL 4) AS OUTLINED BELOW.

Basic Qualifications Level 3:

Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of stated professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3+ years of professional experience; Or 9 years of related professional experience with a high school in lieu of degree.Ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearanceExperience with scheduling software (i.e. MS Project) or equivalent, supporting development and/or production program(s)Strong skills and proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel and PowerPointAbility to work 100% on-site at NG facility, located at Manhattan Beach, CA during business core hoursAt least 2 years of working experience with EVMS

Basic Qualifications Level 4:

Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of stated professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 4+ years of professional experience; Or 12 years of related experience with a high school diploma in lieu of degreeAbility to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearanceExperience with scheduling software (i.e. MS Project) or equivalent, supporting development and/or production program(s)Strong skills and proficient knowledge with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel and PowerPointAbility to work 100% on-site at NG facility, located at Manhattan Beach, CA during business core hoursAt least 4 years of working experience with EVMS

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:

Proficient with Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) software (i.e., MS Project, Open Plan, Primavera P6).Experience with MS Project ServerExperience with resource loading SchedulesEarned Value Management Systems (EVMS) experienceSchedule Management for Development & Production programsFamiliarity with Production “Standards” for progress measurementExperience with Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA) approach and executionActive Department of Defense (DoD) Secret or Top Secret (TS) ClearanceActive Department of Defense Special Compartmented Information Access (SCI)

Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00Salary Range 2: $124,900.00 - $187,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
