Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking an experienced Principal/Sr. Principal Systems Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting our Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU) to support a program out of our Aurora, CO office.
Position Overview:
• This position requires multidiscipline knowledge in all areas related to systems engineering including systems design, modeling, requirements development, and integration and test.
• Diplomatically interface with all levels of management, employees, internal and external customers, and vendors
• Experience writing and reviewing CONOPS
This position requires being onsite and does not support remote or hybrid work.

This requisition may be filled as either a Principal or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Systems Engineer:
• Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance at the time of application
• Must have a completed STEM degree [a degree in the fields of science, technology, engineering, or mathematics] with below years of experience
5 Years of relevant experience with a completed Bachelor's (STEM) 3 Years of relevant experience with a completed Masters's (STEM)1 Years of relevant experience with a completed Ph.D. (STEM)• Must have experience on all of the below:
Experience with requirements development, decomposition, software verification, and generating system and segment-level test proceduresData Analysis & RF Mission processingExperience using Jira and Agile processes during day-to-day workExperience with Interface Control Document development and associated block diagramsExperience with creating security and transportation plansExperience with JIRAExperience in gathering requirements, leading exercises or demonstrationsFamiliarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)Hands-on experience developing and performing real-time executable demo plansStrong written and oral communications skillsBasic Qualifications for a Sr. Principal Systems Engineer:
