Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a Systems Engineer 3/4 to join our team as a Performance Analyst developer in Huntsville, AL. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman’s IBCS Engineering Department. The position responsibilities include the retrieval, post-processing, and analysis of complex air and missile defense data sets. The qualified candidate should be able to develop new algorithms to automate the existing analysis process as well as optimize the existing scripts. The qualified candidate should be able to mentor teammates on advanced data processing approaches and techniques. Experience with parallel processing is highly desirable. The candidate should also be able to create reports or briefing material that clearly explains highly technical data and should be comfortable presenting the data to senior leadership.

Principal: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics; 0 years with PhD.Sr. Principal: 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics; 4 years with PhD.Ability to perform data post-processing and performance analysisStrong Bash, Python, or Mathematica skillsActive secret security clearanceAble to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings.Preferred Qualifications:

Salary Range: $105,400.00 - $158,000.00Salary Range 2: $131,100.00 - $196,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
