Northrop Grumman Defense Systems has an opening for a Cyber Lead to help develop, test, secure, operate, and maintain information systems. This position is a cyber and security engineering role within the Immersive Mission Operations.

You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable engaging with internal and external customers. You must be willing to travel domestically.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Have fundamental knowledge of Systems Engineering practices, network technologies, system development life cycles and methodologies, and insight into information technology infrastructure management/monitoring and applicationsDevelop and document technical standard operating processes and procedures as neededRecommend and implement system enhancements that will improve the performance, reliability, and security of the system including installing, upgrading, monitoring, problem resolution, and configurationProvide analysis, design, development, implementation and security assessments to ensure compliance with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication (SP) 800-53, CNSSI 1253, and DoD RMF Knowledge Service guidance.Leads the documentation contributions of others assigned to the program from technical, support, and administrative areasHardening and securing information systems and network gear while understanding the operational and security impacts of various security configurationsTroubleshooting, identifying, and resolving system failures in a timely mannerDeveloping and maintaining information system test plansProgramming test scripts and patching information systems and network appliancesPerforming system testing and documenting processes and proceduresParticipating in technical interchange meetingsProviding support for development and enhancement of security engineering inputs to program documentation, security authorization packages, and research & development reportsProviding input to, and interface in customer meetings, or providing status input to higher level management

This requisition is open as a dual level opportunity. We are hiring at a level 3 or level 4.

Level 3: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with 5 years of experience / 3 years with Masters / 1 Year with PhDLevel 4: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline with 8 years of experience / 6 years with Masters / 4 Years with PhDActive Secret DoD Secret security clearance and able to achieve Tier 1 access eligibilityCurrent DoD 8570 Certification IAT Level III or higher (Security+, CISSP, etc.)Ability to travel for 2-3 weeks at a time, as neededHave and maintain a valid U.S. passport

Salary Range: $78,700.00 - $118,100.00Salary Range 2: $130,500.00 - $195,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
