**Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks to fill a Principal or Senior Principal Network Engineer in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This position is located in Fairfax, VA.**
**Candidates are required to be Security+ certified and have an adjudicated full-scope polygraph at time of employment. Candidates must have the ability to work within a group or independently where collaboration and attention to detail is critical to mission success.**
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ **Principal Network Engineer:** 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in STEM; 3 years of relevant experience with a Master's' in STEM; 0 years of relevant experience with a PhD
+ **Senior Principal Network Engineer:** 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in STEM; 6 years of relevant experience with a Master's' in STEM; 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
+ **Top Secret clearance with an adjudicated Full Scope Polygraph required at time of application.**
+ Experience with the definition and development of networks within a classified environment.
+ Experience utilizing Visio for the creation of network diagrams.
+ Must have familiarity with common Government Network types.
+ Ability to work independently, multi-task, and complete tasks timely
+ Ability to collaborate with fellow team members, cross-organizational teams, and management
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Currently holds an active networking certification such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ Firewall Hardware and Software Knowledge, administration, management and modifications
+ CISCO Router, Switches Hardware and Software Knowledge
+ COMSEC equipment knowledge
+ Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and software interconnections and interfacing, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers etc.
+ Linux and Windows knowledge
Salary Range: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00Salary Range 2: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
