The Advanced Technology Lab of Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal/Sr. Principal Logistics Planner. The position is located at the Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) in Linthicum, MD, where we design, manufacture, and test semiconductor products. The qualified candidate must be a strong team participant, have excellent communication skills, be resourceful and multi-talented. An understanding of semiconductor technology and microelectronic process engineering is a plus but not required.
The qualified candidate will support the Northrop Grumman Microelectronics Center and will directly impact the development of state-of-the-art next generation superconducting electronics (SCE) and advanced computing technologies.
The Logistics Planner will have experience with some of the following responsibilities: Managing and maintaining the day-to-day interfaces and communications between the assigned Program Management Office (PMO), Foundry Engineering, Program Core Team, Global Supply Chain (GSC), External vendors, and Shipping. Materials management and interaction with program project teams. Note: this is an on-site position.
This position requires work on site located at our Advanced Technology Lab (ATL) in Linthicum, MD.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analyzes technical data and reports to determine lab operations baselines for materials, spares, and support equipment provisioning requirements.Reviews technical data related to types of equipment used in the lab, material utilization rates, calibration timelines, and product roadmaps.Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.Manage sub-unit spare assets to coordinate with preventative maintenance and calibration schedules.Manages and controls the asset position of program inventories.Collaborates with program tracking methods and communicates updates to stakeholders.Responsible for working with core scheduling team representatives to forecast material costs, analyze lead times, and identify critical path procurements.Communicates with suppliers for lead times, and delivery times.Actively communicates and works to resolve issues.Receives/reviews requirements for standard and non-standard parts.This position can be filled at either the Principal or Sr. Principal level.
Basic Qualifications for Principal Logistics Planner:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Business or Related Field with 5 years related experience. 3 years with Masters or 1 year of experience with PhD.Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions.Can read and interpret CAD models, engineering documents, COTS manuals, etc.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office programs with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.Able to collaborate in a team environment.Able to work alone, with minimal supervision. Demonstrated experience with public speaking.Must have experience managing multiple tasks and coordinating with the appropriate department.Must have the ability to interface/communicate with multiple departments/audiences such technical teams, financial teams, and senior management.This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen.Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with poly clearance per business requirements.Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Logistics Planner:
