Department OverviewThe Motorola Solutions Radio Engineering team, located in Plantation, FL., specializes in the design and development of world class Mission Critical Communications equipment. This team develops state of the art mixed signal modules and integrated circuits for use in our radio products. We need innovative and motivated Mixed Signal SoC RF Engineer circuit designers to apply their talents to take our radio product solutions to the next level.
Job Description
The Mixed Signal SoC RF Engineer will work with CMOS technologies to develop mixed signal ICs to be utilized in hi-reliability public safety communications systems. This position will be one of a team of IC design technologists that will conceive, design and implement RF and analog circuits and subsystems using robust design methodologies for SoC system integration. The SoC product is intended for use in Motorola Solutions radio products.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 9+ years of Mixed Signal IC design experience
Hands-on work in mixed signal ASIC specification, architecture, circuits design, verification, physical implementation, silicon bring-up and debug.
Creation and innovation of circuit designs for RF, analog, digital, power circuits, interface logic, sensors, and other peripherals in deep submicron IC nodes. Familiar with various building blocks of RF transceivers, audio processing and Phase Locked Loop (PLL) subsystems.
Solid experience in analog/mixed-signal circuit block modeling, design and verification using Cadence or equivalent CAD tools.
Experience in assessing 3rd party IP and subsequent integration into a larger SoC.
Experience with Verilog-A/Verilog-AMS/SystemVerilog/Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) for digital and analog/mixed signal (AMS) designs. Familiar with shell and scripting languages (SKILL, Perl, Python, TCL, make, csh, bash).
Silicon validation in the lab, experience in Labview or similar will be an asset
