Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist to join our team of high performing, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Manhattan Beach, CA or Roy, UT. This position will be supporting the Strategic Deterrent System (SDS) Division.
Roles Responsibilities
The Procurement Specialist responsibilities will encompass:
Sources and procures goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliers.Initiates Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers.In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules.Works with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required.Manages performance of purchase orders, ensures delivery expectations are met.Employs sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activities.Ensures that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recorded.Reviews and approves supplier payment as needed.Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement.Position Benefits:

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package to the Roy, UT location but not to the Manhattan Beach, CA location.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
5 years of relative experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 3 years of relevant experience with a master's degree, and 1 year of experience with a PhD. 4 years of additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.Must have U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret Security ClearanceProfessional experience in supply chain management, or related fields, to include logistics, manufacturing/project management, business management, leadership, or information systemsProficiency in MS Office suiteThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & DefenseExperience working with suppliersExperience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)/Defense Federal Acquisitions Regulation Supplement (DFARS)Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAPDemonstrated leadership, critical thinking, and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles, or experiencesDemonstrated high attention to detailAbility to prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environmentStrong verbal and written communication skillsSalary Range: $71,600.00 - $124,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
