We are looking for you to join our team as a Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist based out of Sunnyvale, CA.
While this position will be based out of Sunnyvale, CA and this is the preferred location, the selected candidate may be onsite at any major Mission Systems campus. The position does allow for a hybrid work schedule.

Source and procure goods and services of a commodity nature from many suppliersInitiate Requests for Quotations and Proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliersIn conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitor supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedulesWork with internal customers to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products requiredIdentify opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through targeted negotiations and optimize volume pricing through bid package strategiesEvaluate supplier proposals and placing compliant purchase ordersExtract, monitor, analyze, and validate data information from multiple sourcesDevelop engaging and collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal partners/customers to drive problem resolutionEmploy sound business practices and assesses supplier performance as part of follow-up activitiesEnsure that appropriate documentation is provided to logistics/transportation & warehouse organization so that proper receipt is recordedReview and approve supplier payment as neededUtilize process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvementCandidates must be able to make sound decisions in a timely manner, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by regulated industry.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist:
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain management, logistics, or project/business management; OR a master's degree and 3 or more years in supply chain management, logistics, or project/business management (an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).Preferred Qualifications for a Principal Supply Chain Procurement Specialist:
Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, TelecommunicationsExperience with FAR/DFARExperience with ERP systems, preferably SAPSalary Range: $71,600.00 - $124,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
