We are looking for you to join our team as either a Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist or a Sr Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist on the Subcontract Services (“SCS”) team as a hybrid role out of Linthicum, Maryland, Rolling Meadows, Illinois, or San Diego California.  The role has a strong preference to be staffed as a hybrid role near one of the listed sites, however, full-time telework may considered for this role for the right candidate.

This is a posting for 2 roles a Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist and a Sr Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist.

What You'll Get to do:

As a member of the SCS team the candidate will serve as a subject matter expert in terms and conditions and contract negotiations in Northrop Grumman’s Mission Systems supply chain.  Position will require complex negotiations with Northrop Grumman’s strategic and critical suppliers to establish favorable contractual positions and to settle disputes.  The selected candidate will review, analyze, interpret, and draft tactical and strategic agreements. Candidate will liaise with the Law Department, Programs, Supply Chain, and Engineering to foster long and short-term business relationships with our supply base. 

In addition to negotiations, the candidate will enhance GSC's negotiation and subject matter expertise through education and training offerings.

Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist:
•    Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 Years of relevant experience in supply chain, contracts, law, or a related field, or a Masters or J.D. with 3 Years of relevant experience.
•    Demonstrable experience in terms and conditions exhibited through an active role in a negotiation, an executed agreement, or experience in contract drafting. 
•    Excellent verbal and oral communication skills, multi-tasking skills, and a collaborative approach

Basic Qualifications for Sr Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist:
•    Bachelors degree with a minimum of 8 Years of relevant experience in supply chain, contracts, law, or a related field, or a Masters or J.D. with 6 Years of relevant experience.
•    Demonstrable experience in terms and conditions exhibited through a lead role in negotiations or contract drafting. 
•    Demonstrable leadership as exhibited through ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment while achieving favorable outcomes. 


Preferred Qualifications for both roles: 
•    Experience in law either as a J.D. or Paralegal
•    Experience drafting complex contractual documents, including, but not limited to, Overriding Agreements on Terms and Conditions, Non-Disclosure Agreements, and Long Term Supply/Pricing Agreements.

Salary Range: $82,900.00 - $136,800.00Salary Range 2: $103,200.00 - $170,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
