The Raytheon Solutions Design & Integration (SDI) team is responsible for researching, developing, and integrating cyber-compliant, standardized system solutions using innovative designs to enhance execution efficiency and the capabilities of digitally supported programs. SDI is seeking a Principal Systems Administrator to develop, implement and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. This position requires direct on-site support at the Raytheon McKinney, TX; Marlborough, MA; Tewksbury, MA; Woburn, MA; or Tucson, AZ location; whichever the candidate is closest to.

What you will do:

Develop and coordinate IT technology strategies, roadmaps, and reference architectures.Analyze business requirements to develop technical solutions.Support proposal teams and technical review teamsDevelop concepts and projects that cover gaps in technology roadmaps.Forms effective business relationships; fosters an open culture of collaboration.Perform technology evaluations, develop proof-of-concepts, and look for opportunities to introduce advanced Information Technologies into solutions and products.Develop and drive common processes and tools across the Architect function.Must be able to travel up to 10%

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of direct experience or a master’s degree in and 3 years of direct experience. In Lieu of degree, applicants with 9 years direct experience will be considered.Experience providing technical solutions for IT systems.Experience in developing systems designs, including architecture, ConOps, and deployment.Experience in systems design in infrastructure technologies such as server operating systems, server hardware, compute, storage, networks, virtualization, VoIP, video, encryption, and security.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows, Red Hat, Ansible, VMware, Containerization, and Netapp Storage devices.Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceExperience to working with technical concepts to non-technical audiences using verbal, written and graphical means in proposal efforts and product strategies.Candidate must have the ability to clearly articulate ideas, process steps, and technical data in written, graphical, and spoken dialogue.Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows, Red Hat, Ansible, VMware, Containerization, Netapp Storage experienceStrong interpersonal skills, with the ability to dialogue, negotiate, influence and work with others collaboratively and constructively.Candidate must be both an innovative and strategic thinker.Strong analytical and problem determination/resolution skillsProven track record of developing concepts and products that extends knowledge in each field or pursuit.Architectural and Security certifications such as TOGAF and CISSPFamiliarity with Government security controls including NISPOM, JAFAN, ICD 503 and the RMFMay have broad knowledge of project management.Requires substantial knowledge of RTX projects, programs, or systems to provide enhancements within job area.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
