The Integration and Support Group (ISG), a large diverse IT service organization within the Northrop Grumman Space Systems sector is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to support the Payload and Ground Systems Division (PGSD) in their development and deployment of ground systems. The location for this role will be at our Space Park campus in Redondo Beach, CA. This work is in a secure facility (SCIF) and 100% onsite work is required.

Core Responsibilities:
Interaction with users to determine hardware/software requirements and installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems and COTSEvaluation of vendor products, providing recommendations to purchase hardware and software, providing backup recovery, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, building of systems and computing asset managementApplicant must be experienced in STIG configuration, classified processing, and security proceduresThis requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems Administrator (A03) level or a Senior Principal Systems Administrator (A04) level, depending on the qualifications outlined below.
Basic Qualifications for the Principal Systems Administrator (A03):
Current active Sensitive Compartmented Investigation (SCI) security access/clearance needed, preferably CENTER briefedBachelor's degree and 6 years of experience, or Master's degree and 4 years of experience; an additional 4 years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degreeAdjudicated Counterintelligence (CI) polygraphActive CompTIA Security+ certificationAbility to apply to Privileged User (PU) status prior to start dateDemonstrated expertise as a Linux Systems AdministratorExperience in automating tasks utilizing scripting and/or orchestration tools. Specifically, proficiency in one or more of the following languages is preferred: PowerShell, Python, Bash, or YAML (executed/managed via Ansible)Knowledge of version control using code repositories (Bitbucket/Gitlab)Familiarity with Virtual environment using VMware products (i.e., vCenter, ESXi, etc.)Familiarity with Networking environment (i.e., routers, firewalls, VLANs, etc.)Familiarity with NAS technologies such as NetAppBasic Qualifications for the Senior Principal Systems Administrator (A04):

Demonstrated expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)Experience with troubleshooting complex RHEL, network, and COTS-related issuesExperience with Ansible is a definite plusExperience managing a highly virtualized production environmentCertifications (i.e., Red Hat, NetApp, VMware, etc.)Familiarity with the Agile methodologySalary Range: $97,500.00 - $146,300.00Salary Range 2: $120,900.00 - $181,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
