As a **Principal Systems Engineer** on the Radar Development Contract (RDC) Team, you will join a small team of engineers working in a dynamic environment, performing a diverse set of technical and support tasks. This position contributes to the Radar Development Contract and will provide engineering expertise in the areas of technical writing and process engineering You will also be part of a larger Raytheon team within the Systems Engineering Directorate, which provides, develops, and maintains high fidelity performance simulations, executes system performance evaluations (including pre-flight prediction, post flight matching, and verification and validation), aids new business initiatives and develops & implements technology roadmaps. If you’re passionate about what you could accomplish here, we’d love to hear from you. **This is a “Hybrid” role located in Colorado Springs, Colorado** **What You will Do** : + You will be responsible for development, coordination, peer review, security marking, and submission of numerous technical documents for RDC Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Task Orders. + You will initiate M&S technical and document baselines + You will implement the formal release approval process for all controlled technical documents and data + You will develop detailed schedules to ensure on-time CDRL delivery, ensuring quality of documentation prior to delivery (review and verify documents for completeness, format, proper markings, and compliance with contract requirements) + You will conduct document peer reviews, coordinate approval, and aid Data Management for formal delivery to the customer. + You will document, implement, and improve the following processes; + Update and revise existing processes, including Software Development Plans, System Engineering Management Plan, Cybersecurity plans, and Software Transition plans. + Identify opportunities for process improvement across the program, and document and implement those improvements + Work with Quality Assurance to carry out audits. + You will assist with metrics collection and provide causes and potential solutions for monthly engineering tracking books and Program Management Reviews. + You will accomplish other program tasks as assigned and assist the RDC as needed **Qualifications You Must Have** : + Typically requires a Bachelor’s of Arts or Science Degree and eight (8) years or more of documented work and/or academic experience in the following areas: + Experience using desktop applications and/or MS Office tools including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software tools to create documents + Experience working and communicating with Government Officials and Senior Company stakeholders + Experience working as a contributor, a project lead, and/or as a member of a technical team + Experience managing multiple tasks and priorities, with minimal or no supervision + Experience delivering on high visibility projects, requiring attention to detail, organizational skills, and strict implementation processes + Experience working with a geographically dispersed team + Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
