The Electronic Warfare & Signal Processing group is looking to hire an experienced Principal Systems Software Architect professional with deep knowledge and highly developed technical expertise in software and systems infrastructure and integration to support the Advanced Technologies Business Unit.

What You Will Do

Develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges involving multiple subsystem and system interactions (system of systems) as an Individual Contributor, Technical Lead, or both.

Actively partake in definition of team objectives and provide solutions to complex technical tasks including: SW and system level integration of real-time software, modelling and simulation, rapid prototype SW development, system integration with dev pipeline and field demonstration, processing real-world data, trade studies in system and algorithm design, and initial requirements allocation and verification.

Selected candidate will be required to obtain and maintain special access program (SAP) clearance and/or an SCI clearance.

Qualifications You Must Have  

Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of systems engineering experience.

Experience with Signal Processing (AMTI), Tracking, Communications, or Resource Management.

Experience with software architecture design principles, data structures, and/or abstractions.

Experience developing, implementing, integrating, and validating SW and/or system architectures, concepts, and constructs.

Experience updating and/or maintaining code developed in one or more of the following: C, C++, Java, Python, CUDA, and MATLAB.

Experience with Linux, Unix, GNU, and/or bash.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

Exceptional engineering analytical and decision-making skills with strong ability to be creative and innovative in designing solutions.

Experience leading and training technical teams of junior to mid-level systems engineers and analysts and ability and balance development priorities with near/long term program objectives.

Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools including SysML, Rhapsody, Magic Draw and/or Cameo.

Experience in Open Architecture development including UML 2.0 & XML, Open Mission Systems (OMS), Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) and/or Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA).

Experience in Dev-ops automation on various operating systems including Linux.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. We Are RTX

The salary range for this role is 105,000 USD - 221,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
