We are seeking a Talent Advertising Strategist to join our enterprise Brand Experience team and report to the Manager of Talent Marketing. The Talent Advertising Strategist is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders across the enterprise and agency partners to develop and deploy an integrated, innovative, and agile talent recruitment media strategy for Northrop Grumman’s enterprise talent marketing efforts. The talent advertising strategist will contribute to strategies that build brand awareness and enhance our employee valuation proposition (EVP) to attract and retain top talent across the full marketing ecosystem, incorporating hiring demand needs across the enterprise. In addition, this individual will help tell the story of the Northrop Grumman brand and our people, further building our brand awareness and reputation as a pioneering technology company. 

 

This position preferred to be located in Baltimore, MD, Rolling Meadows, IL, Linthicum, MD, Falls Church, VA, San Diego, CA, Redondo Beach, CA, but must be located near an existing Northrop Grumman facility. Hybrid work schedule will be considered.

In this role, the selected Talent Advertising Strategist will: 

Support recruitment marketing advertising strategy and refinement: Represent advertising recruitment efforts with internal partners and external agency discussions to develop, manage and execute brand and advertising campaigns. Develop and execute enterprise-wide recruitment marketing media strategies aligned to the Northrop Grumman enterprise brand, talent recruitment and employee value proposition (EVP) strategies, that build awareness, attract, and engage top talent. Align and collaborate with key internal stakeholders to understand and support enterprise-wide hiring needs to meet demand. Ensure a local to global approach for key hiring markets, with branded materials and messaging that suits the diversity of our target markets and aligns with company-wide strategy and growth efforts.

Job board management: Manage job board sponsorships and processes to amplify our EVP and increase brand awareness with talent, including seeking out editorial opportunities and expanding brand and audience reach at job board career fairs.

Develop strategic, forward-looking, and actionable insights: Analyze recruitment marketing metrics and use data-driven insights to optimize recruitment marketing efforts and implement efficiencies across paid media and job boards. Develop and present metric reports to key internal stakeholders on media metrics, including media buy and hiring events. Stay up to date with recruitment marketing trends and best practices inside and outside the aerospace industry to help guide decision making and optimizations to meet business needs.

Strong cross-functional collaboration: Partner with internal channel leads, including the talent marketing team, social media team, creative services team, internal communications team, media relations team, and events team to develop and deploy internal and external assets designed to build brand awareness and impact candidate conversion. 

Skills for Success: 

Proven ability to execute complex, integrated communications campaigns with strong attention to detail and a keen understanding of advertising and media strategy. 

Strong communication and relationship-building skills. 

Experience working at or with an external agency to develop, manage and execute brand and advertising campaigns. 

Track record of driving projects to completion, managing multiple tasks with competing priorities and handling variable workloads. 

Ability to develop connections, creating integrated stories and providing the best exposure and experience for candidates and employees. 

Exceptional project management experience, with impeccable attention to detail and process improvement. Experience with project management tools like Microsoft Teams and Smartsheet are a plus. 

Superior presentation and facilitation skills and can convey vision and approach to others. 

Experience with budget management.

This role may involve 10% domestic travel.

Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree with 6 years of related experience OR a Master's degree with 4 years of related experience. 

Experience in executing external strategic integrated communications campaigns. 

Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment. 

Excellent writing, story-telling, and proof-reading skills. 

Strong problem-solving, organizational skills and highly detail-oriented. 

Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization. 

Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Ability to contribute to the completion of organizational projects and goals with occasional or minimal supervision. 

Energetic team presence with an eagerness to learn and recommend new and innovative ideas to foster strategic objectives. 

Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders with differing perspectives, including handling challenging situations with diplomacy and tact.   

Experience using performance metrics and data analysis tools such as GA4 (Google Analytics) to provide data-driven decision-making recommendations and optimizations.

Salary Range: $84,600.00 - $133,100.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
