Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM), Kuiper Embedded Software
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

You will work with a cross-functional team of software and hardware engineers to continuously define and manage the requirements and scope of Kuiper's Secure Communications systems and services. This includes day-to-day management of deliverables, dependencies and schedule, as well as driving this complex project through its incremental phases. You will collaborate with Kuiper's leadership team at all levels to establish Kuiper Secure Communications processes that track our goals, objectives, milestones, progress and risks, and drive organizational alignment on trade-offs and priorities. You will own coordination across the entire organization to facilitate Secure Communications product and service launches, as well as iterative feature delivery.


Key job responsibilities

- Work across the program to track cross-team dependencies, manage the operations schedule and requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering leaders and create program structure to track system-level goals, software and procedure development and cross-functional dependencies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to create project plans and incremental milestones for Operations, Software, and test infrastructure development.
- Establish and lead an ongoing launch readiness program to systematically drive progress and complete critical program milestones.
- Identify and operationalize the metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) necessary to track progress, and drive issue resolution & mitigation at a granular level across the organization.
- Support and organize the delivery of critical and complex work streams across the space and ground segments of Kuiper's software and services infrastructure.


You must be fully competent in a variety of project management tools, methodologies and techniques for all phases of the project life-cycle and exhibit demonstrated proficiency in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management, reporting, and metric development/tracking.

The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have strong organizational skills, able to work independently, juggle multiple tasks at once, and maintain professionalism under pressure. You should have deep knowledge software engineering practices, understand how software and hardware systems interact, and can drive design and implementation of operational execution of objectives in complex systems. Familiarity with space systems is desired.
