Principal Test and Evaluation Engineer
Cruz Associates Inc. of Yorktown, VA (www.cruzinc.us) has a position open and is looking for qualified candidates for a Principal Test and Evaluation Engineer. The job location is Fort Campbell, Kentucky in support of the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR). Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Scope of Performance: Provide engineering support to SIMO’s primary areas of emphasis include A/MH-6, MH-47, MH-60, MQ-1, Avionics, Sensors, ASE, and Weapon programs. Key Responsibilities: + Develop test plans and coordinate test activities to include, test range scheduling and planning, data collection, and processing. + Participate as a member of Technical Interface Meetings (TIM), Design Reviews, Program Reviews, Test Integration Working Groups (TIWG), and System Safety Working Groups (SSWG). + Work closely with engineering counterparts, to include but not limited to, the Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED), Systems Readiness Directorate (SRD), and Technology Application Program Office (TAPO) + Apply and administer the requirements of AR 70-62 as they apply to Army Special Operations Aircraft (SOA). + Prepare supporting documentation necessary for test and or production airworthiness certification. + Coordinate on the design and review of modifications or new systems implementation in the supported organization’s SOA platforms. + Conduct and or participate in various data gathering, analysis and reports generation for, vibration and load analysis, electrical loads analysis, electromagnetic environmental effects, and armament and stores integration, as consistent with T&E Engineer’s qualified engineering discipline. + Participate in aerial flight in a Flight Test Engineering capacity. + Perform routine clerical, administrative, and logistics tasks as required in support of the SIMO. + Possesses a Secret or Interim Secret security clearance. Education and Experience-Required a. Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in industry within engineering discipline. b. Minimum of 5 years’ experience with planning and conducting systems tests in support of aviation or space systems. c. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering is required. Education and Experience-Desired a. Master’s degree in Electrical engineering is highly desired. b. At least 10 years’ experience working in Special Operations Aviation. c. At least 3 years’ exposure to the Defense Acquisition process.
