Principle Systems Engineer

Leidos Health & Civil – Transportation Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer (SE) who will be responsible for helping to define, design, and implement our Sustainment 3 (S3) initiatives on the Advanced Technology & Oceanic Procedures (ATOP) program at William J. Hughes Tech Center.  Responsibilities will encompass SE lifecycle activities for a large-scale software system in support of the ATOP contract.  The candidate will be required to have a thorough understanding of the ATOP Oceanic Air Traffic Control System from a system engineering standpoint.

Responsibilities Include:

Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities for SE Sustainment 3 (S3) cost accounts as assigned.Cost estimating, workload and manpower planning, including authoring Basis of Estimates (BOEs), in support of the ATOP programs present and future business needs on the program (e.g. proposals and task order preparation).Responsible to assist leadership with full SE and SW lifecycle activities including development CR and EPTR development, and all associated SE activities for CRs and ePTRs. Interface with the FAA customer to address/answer questions relating to technical issues, cost, schedule, resource management, and technical aspects of the SE/SW teams.Oversee SE/SW engineering functions.Plan engineering tasks, deadlines, milestones, and task sequencing and apply tracking metrics. Demonstrate experience in providing technical oversight over SE/SW/test areas of S3.Develop requirements for our S3 initiatives for the ATOP systemHelp to prototype potential solutions for S3 initiatives.Assist management by driving/leading our ATOP S3 initiatives.Assist management with staffing as it pertains to S3 initiatives.Help team plan and implement serial to IP network conversions

Basic Qualifications:

Typically requires BS degree and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to demonstrate a commitment to personal and corporate excellence, ethical behavior and integrity. Must have extensive ATOP background to ensure they can jump into the S3 work and hit the ground running with the future engineering work for the ATOP program.US citizenship required.Ability to obtain Public Trust security clearance.

Pay Range:Pay Range $126,100.00 - $227,950.00
