Job SummaryThis position is a direct report to the Applications Group Products Supervisor and has sound knowledge of business processes in the specific area of SAP HCM technology enablement and support. This position is responsible for managing one or more SAP products to meet business outcomes, spanning multiple technologies including associated impact, cost and complexity. In that capacity, this position is responsible for the following:
• Product Consultants are the primary facilitators for their product. Product Consultants are responsible for optimizing the value proposition. They anticipate issues and/or complications, and respond well to time pressures.
• Serves as domain specific subject matter expert for their assigned product line.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Work with HR/payroll clients, support and development teams to provide subject matter expertise in the day-to-day support of the HR/payroll business area related to business process and technology integration expertise.
• Work with other support team members including suppliers to ensure client expectations are met related to system reliability, SLA’s, ticket resolution, minor modifications and escalations.
• Support the Disaster Recovery (DR) Process for the SAP systems with an emphasis on the systems supporting the HR/payroll function including updating of the DR plan, periodic testing and activation in the event of an emergency
• Monitor and execute IT SOX controls and work closely with internal and external auditors
Coordinate and run planned outages for systems in area of accountability with the LOB and IT.
• Manage and communicate problem resolution and system restoration status during unplanned outage events to LOB and IT Senior Management.
• Develop and maintain an in-depth technical and business knowledge of the HR/payroll business processes to ensure efficient design, programming, testing and implementation of recommended solutions. Maintain currency in designated SAP functional areas including upcoming enhancements and industry trends.
• Provide application and solutions consulting for SAP Human Resource (HR)/Payroll in the area of Personnel Management/Organization Management with Org Publisher/Time and Pay Management/Payroll Accounting/Learning Solutions (TEM)/Employee and Manager Self-Service/Travel Management/Cross Application Timesheet.
• In-depth Knowledge of Success Factors and various modules
• In-depth knowledge and experience in SAP production systems
• Must have the ability to provide analytical conclusions and support recommended action/decisions with clarity, adjusting to meet the needs of the audience (technical v non-technical business partners/clients).
• Strong oral and communication skills
• Analyze and convey business requirements into functional specifications and technical design documents.
• Oversee ongoing system configuration, maintenance, and support activities.
• Drive cost, schedule, quality, and deliverables from third party resources.
• Work with training team(s) to develop and deliver user training curriculum.
• Must be available for callout 24 X 7
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math or a related technical field
• 6 or more years of HRM systems experience with at least 2 years related work experience with the SAP suite of products
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities through projects or other work planning experiences
• Understanding of and experience in IT project management methodologies, requirements management, quality assurance and IT processes.
• Requires broad knowledge of the business area's functions and applications, and of system and technology alternatives
• Demonstrated experience managing outsourced vendors (on and off shore) within the information technology field.
• In-depth knowledge of HR and Payroll Services functions, applications, and system & technology alternatives
Desired:
• Technical/software certification such as AWS certification, etc.
• Relevant technical acumen or experience in computer programming, development or coding
• Understanding of basic financial principles including experience with project financial budgeting and planning
• Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
• SAP certification
• Graduate degree or MBA
• Experience with ITIL & CMMI
