As a Principal UX Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, accessible, and performant components that power experiences for millions of developers. You'll collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to create scalable solutions that meet the needs of both no-code and pro-code developers.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead technical implementation of complex design system features and architectural improvementsDrive code quality standards and testing strategies across the teamMentor engineers and provide technical guidance on best practices in web developmentContribute to technical decision-making and architecture discussionsChampion web standards and accessibility best practicesSpearhead innovation initiatives that improve developer experience and system efficiencyCreate educational content and documentation to support adoptionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with product roadmap

Required Qualifications:

10+ years of professional software development experienceDeep expertise with modern HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web standardsStrong understanding of component-based architecture and design systemsProven track record of delivering high-quality, maintainable codeExperience with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and implementationStrong knowledge of testing methodologies and toolsExperience mentoring other engineers and leading technical initiativesExcellent communication skills and ability to work across teamsTrack record of driving innovation and technical improvements

Technical Skills:

Expert knowledge of semantic HTML and accessible interface developmentAdvanced proficiency in CSS, including modern layout techniques and architecture patternsStrong JavaScript skills and experience with modern frameworksExperience with build tools, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelinesFamiliarity with design tools like FigmaUnderstanding of performance optimization and cross-browser compatibilityVersion control with Git
