Field Representative I, Fulfillment
Position Profile: The Field Representative I, Fulfillment provides operations functions in a fulfillment center for one or more of the following areas: operating high-volume continuous feed or cut sheet printing equipment to produce large volume print jobs on a previously calibrated machine, performing associated inserting tasks using high-speed commercial inserters, performing associated copying tasks, shipping and receiving products and supplies, sorting, distributing, and handling incoming and outgoing mail/faxes, and applying necessary postage. The role also includes providing copier maintenance and/or repair of site equipment. Additional tasks may include bindery, quality control and final check, housekeeping, file services, call center representative duties, and reception. The position may involve various building support functions related to meeting setups and white glove mail piece handling, which requires a detailed approach to assembling individual mail pieces from large volume print runs for mailing through the USPS process. This position operates in a multi-shift environment and can include weekends.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Run high-volume printing equipment, which may include high production in a mechanically sophisticated print environment, and perform binding and finishing work. Set up and run all applications on all equipment. Ensure convenience copiers are working properly, checking for quality via daily inspections. Clear paper jams and inform technicians of specific problems. Maintain records for management reports and inventories of supplies needed. Distribute office supplies, fax transmissions, and mail to company personnel and/or designated drop-off points as required. Calculate charges for jobs performed and maintain some billing logs. Respond to and coordinate all service calls required. Perform filing duties in conjunction with specific customer requests. Deliver completed jobs to pre-determined customer locations within and outside of the site. Maintain daily meter and service logs. Answer customer questions regarding the status or feasibility of job requests. Ensure upkeep of all workstation areas and sorting stations by keeping them neat and well-stocked. Perform duties related to the shipping and receiving of materials. Perform meeting room and conference room setups. Perform light maintenance duties as assigned. Perform occasional cleaning duties as needed. May require periodic overtime on nights and weekends, including off-hour emergency response. Use shrink-wrap machine, paper cutter, hole driller, bindery equipment, jogger, tape machine, stackers, electric stapler, and scales in the completion of various jobs contracted. Use all copier equipment, calculator, fax machine, postage meter, and some PC. Perform filing duties, which may include purging and archiving old documents. Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications):
High school diploma or GED and 2-3 years of related work experience required. Some related copy job experience, preferably in a high production, mechanically sophisticated print environment, is preferred. Valid driver's license and minimum levels of auto insurance coverage per policy required. Ability to learn complex production and/or communication systems, such as client-specific mainframe applications.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of copier and other related equipment and repair preferred. Knowledge and understanding of shipping/receiving procedures required. Basic electronics knowledge preferred. Ability to work independently and flexibly to complete projects. Ability to determine the correct method and packing material, as well as check packing slips for accuracy of incoming materials. Ability to comprehend instructions concerning mail delivery. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and comprehend written technical information in the form of manuals, parts books, and related publications. Excellent customer relations skills and verbal communication skills.Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Demands:
Frequent exposure to copier/fax machine noise, toner, and changes in room temperature. May be exposed to frequent paper cuts from handling paper and opening boxes. Exposure to various weather conditions when walking between buildings. Exposure to location equipment can present opportunities for injury or accidents. Daily telephone/in-person contact with customers, employees, managers, and/or Dispatch Department. Occasional telephone contact with vendors and equipment repair personnel. Dealing with tight deadlines and quick turnaround times imposes high stress levels. Some physical effort required, which may involve long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing, or similar activities, as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 lbs. Pushing or pulling machines on wheels, which may weigh up to 400 lbs., to move for repairs.
