Print Production Associate
**Job Title:** Print Production Associate **Location:** Washington, DC **Job Type:** Hourly Consultant **Hours:** Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM **Pay:** up to $25.29/hr **Requirements:** This position is working on behalf of government documents and requires a DoD clearance. **Essential Functions:** + Operate digital and color printing equipment to meet customer specifications. + Possess the necessary skills and competencies to meet contracted customer requirements. + Handle routine tasks and activities related to printing and finishing equipment. + Lift and move materials or equipment up to 50 pounds. + Serve as the point of contact to receive, review, and electronically log customer jobs. + Operate standard finishing equipment including paper cutters, inserters, laminators, and hole punchers. + Utilize office/production equipment such as printers, copiers, faxes, and scanners. + Apply asset tags to office equipment and update associated databases. + Track, coordinate, and manage the move, add, or change of office equipment at customer sites. + Perform cleaning and maintenance of office equipment as needed. + Process incoming and outgoing faxes, ensuring proper logging for billing purposes. + Update basic forms and information using a PC. + Collect and submit meter readings as part of regular maintenance tasks. + Resolve production issues to ensure timely delivery and output requirements are met. + Conduct quality inspections before, during, and after production runs. + Sort and organize materials for production or distribution. **Skills:** + Strong knowledge of digital and color printing and finishing equipment. + Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. + Basic knowledge of office equipment maintenance. + Strong organizational and time-management skills. + Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. + Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. + Attention to detail and a commitment to quality assurance. **Experience:** + At least 2 years of experience in print production, preferably in a production environment with handling digital and color equipment. + Experience with office production equipment such as printers, copiers, and scanners. + Experience with handling equipment assets, including tracking and coordinating moves. + Prior experience in customer service or coordinating production jobs is a plus. **Education:** + High School Diploma or equivalent required. + Additional certifications related to print production or office equipment maintenance is a plus. **Other Requirements:** + U.S. Citizenship required. + Must be able to pass a Department of Defense (DOD) clearance process. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and walk between buildings as part of daily duties. + Experience with scanning, binding, and production printing is required. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
