Print Services Representative
Job Function: 01. Operates Printing and Duplicating Equipment. Criteria- Displays consistent and expanding knowledge of both Color and Monochrome output devices and best practices to efficiently maximize output. Maintains maximum capacity output of all devices as outlined by Print Services Supervisor. Fully knowledgeable on all aspects of digital output and established file prep techniques to gain maximum yield per page. Knows how to identify machine service issues and calls in for service. Help properly utilizing and maintaining tracking logs Job Function: 02. Operate Binding and Finishing Equipment. Criteria - Displays consistent and expanding knowledge of usage and basic maintenance of all bindery and finishing equipment and best practices to efficiently maximize output. Knows how to troubleshoot service issues and to call in appropriate technicians for service as needed. Job Function: 03. Processes Incoming Print Orders. Criteria- Displays consistent and expanding knowledge of Web 2 Print ordering tool MarketDirect StoreFront (MDSF) in order to assess print instructions, determine best device/operator to produce and communicate any and all order specifications and conflicts with customers. Knowledge and ability to create workflows for automation in MDSF and Digital Front Ends (DFEs). Capable of processing orders through to completion including usage of Logistics Tracking System (Vuetura) Job Function: 04. Ensuring Quality and On Time Performance. Criteria- Ensures orders are processed in a timely manner, meeting or exceeding all service levels as determined by Print Services Supervisor and MDSF. Performs quality checks throughout production, finishing and packaging process ensuring orders arrive correct, on time and professionally packaged and labeled. Job Function: 05. Logistics. Criteria - Fully capable of using available tools to package/ship and track packages to destination. Knowledgeable of third party options such as FedEx to ship, price and track packages using the most cost effective methods while maintaining on time performance. Job Function: 06. Supply Management. Criteria - Displays consistent and expanding knowledge and capability of assessing supply needs and communicating to Supervisor and/or Manager to ensure Print Shop is always supplied with all materials required to print, finish and package orders. This includes but is not limited to all machine consumables, paper, finishing, packaging, and shipping supplies. Receives incoming supplies and puts orders away promptly in the correct location for usage. Job Function: 07. Communication. Criteria - Utilizes current tools such as logs, e-mail and MDSF to properly, effectively and positively communicate all issues to production team, Supervisor and/or Manager. Promptly responds in a professional manner to all customer inquiries. Proactively assesses and communicates across the team. Share best practices. Positively participates in all meetings. Ensures work is clearly and properly handed off between shifts and prior to PTO. Job Function: 08. Performs Miscellaneous Duties. Criteria- Performs other related duties as assigned by or requested by Supervisor or Manager. Job Function: 09. Maintains Work Area. Criteria- Keeps work area and computers neat, clean, and organized. Keeps all materials and paperwork organized and easily accessible to all team members. Job Function: 10. Work is Performed Safely. Criteria - Should always be observed performing work in accordance with all safety rules and regulations. Good judgment to be exercised at all times, especially while operating equipment that can be hazardous to the operator. Unsafe or problematic situations are brought to the attention of the Print Services Supervisor or Manager and the appropriate authority outside of the department such as engineering, occupational safety, etc. Required: 1. High School or Equivalency Degree 2.
