In this role, you will create and/or update schematic symbols and footprints using Siemens Xpedition. You will input the metadata associated with the bookends of the component description and orderable part number information. You will work with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers using ticket systems and in-person interactions to detail the geometry and schematic symbol configuration to meet the needs of the technical community. You will learn the IPC terminology and understand the IPC standards related to component artwork creation. You will work with suppliers when required to understand part dimensional variation when designing interchangeability into a multi-source component footprint. You will learn component footprint design guidelines.

3+ years of Design experiments & statistical analytic methods3+ years of experience using PLM toolKnowledge of scripting languages (Python, VBA, SQL) for library automation3+ years of database management for component libraries. Knowledge of IPC standards (e.g., IPC—7351 for PCB footprints, IPC-2221 for design)Experience with PCB design software (e.g..
