Job Responsibilities:
Review and understand job tickets to determine size and quantity of sheets required and understand the appropriate ink colors to useWith the assistance of the second pressman that the ink supplied matches the ink spec on job ticketAdjust feeder to achieve maximum production during the running of the pressMounts plates on the pressContinually checks quality of work to ensure customer specs are metCompletes necessary production and quality reportsAdjust feed for optimum production, quality and safetyUnderstands the control of the feeder console and auxiliary controls for the operating systemsPerforms maintenance on the equipmentPerforms other duties as assigned by manager, supervisor, lead, operator or second pressman
Job Requirements:
Previous printing press experience Good communication and attention to detail skillsAbility to lift 25 lbs. regularly, 50 lbs. occasionally, 75 lbs. rarelyStand for at least 8 hours a dayWork overtime to cover vacation and/or absencesBend, twist, kneel throughout shiftUse hands to grasp, pull and pushWork at or below shoulder level
