Responsibilities
This position reports to the Print Maintenance Supervisor, Group Leads, and Leads. The Printing Maintenance Technician is a skilled position responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of machinery and accessory equipment with in the printing department. With the purpose of keeping the machinery and accessory equipment ready to produce quality products in a safe manner. Troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical breakdowns is an essential task of the job. The printing maintenance technician will occasionally receive task and/or projects that will require them to work independently or in a team to complete.
Essential Functions and Duties
Troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment in the Printing Department.Follow all company policies, work and safety rules.Operate hand tools, power tools and shop equipment in a safe and useful manner.Keep a clean, safe and orderly workplaceKeep proper records of maintenance performed on the printing presses.Look for ways to make equipment safer, with better quality and efficiency.All printing maintenance technicians are expected to walk the floor at the beginning of their shift, stop at every scheduled machine. It is expected that all printing maintenance technicians interact with production employees during the walk through, find out about machine issues and address the machine issues.
