Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case. **Summary:** We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Privacy Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience in privacy and data protection within a dynamic and supportive environment. The Privacy Intern will assist with various tasks related to privacy compliance, data protection, and privacy rights **Required Job Qualifications:** Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Compliance, Cybersecurity, Privacy, Healthcare Administration or a related field Strong interest in privacy, data protection, and information security. Excellent research, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Diligence and a high level of accuracy Intermediate or advanced skills in data analytics tools, e.g., MS Excel and Access Familiarity with privacy laws and regulations (e.g., HIPAA) **Preferred Job Qualifications:** Current certification in privacy, cybersecurity, or health IT **Disclaimer:** The above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job. It is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties, responsibilities or requirements. **Responsibilities:** Assist in the overall operations and administration of the Privacy Office, as assigned, including • Research and development of privacy policies and procedures • Drafting and editing of standard operating procedures • Conduct of risk assessments and drafting of deliverable reports • Support to incident response efforts • Support with the processing of patient rights requests • Research into privacy laws and regulations • Delivery of awareness and training content to the workforce • Assist in the preparation of privacy-related documentation and reports • Conduct research on emerging privacy trends and best practices. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support privacy initiatives Rush is an equal opportunity employer.
