Position Overview
The Privacy Operations team is part of Insulet’s broader Security and Privacy Operations (SPO) department within the Technology organization. The team is responsible for the day-to-day execution of privacy management activities and global privacy operations, as well as providing exceptional privacy by design advice, embedded with product & franchise teams. Together with our Information Security Team, Data Protection Officer and Legal Privacy Counsels, you will work with business teams and other departments to ensure that personal information is protected and processed in line with customer and regulatory expectations. Your impact will be evident across Insulet’s products and business processes.
Responsibilities
Identify and drive improvements for Insulet’s global privacy program, including privacy management tooling and privacy enhancing technologies.
Manage and respond to Data Subject Requests from business contacts, employees and others, and collaborate with employees within the IT and HR function to ensure the privacy rights requests are handled in a timely manner. Perform privacy reviews for new and existing processing activities, vendors and applications.
Develop and optimize privacy processes such as vendor due diligence, in close collaboration with privacy colleagues and other business partners.
Support with the implementation of Insulet’s privacy maturity plan.
Be a reliable business partner where various departments can pose their privacy questions, such as Marketing and HR.
Actively monitor for privacy incidents and provide clear support and guidance on steps to undertake when they are reported to the Privacy Operations team.
Key Decision Rights
Responsible for developing privacy documents, policies, and procedures in alignment with the overall direction and strategy set by SPO leadership.
Authorized to conduct privacy reviews on systems, vendors, and business processes.

Required Skills and Competencies
Good knowledge of privacy principles, data protection regulations, and technical expertise to implement privacy-preserving techniques;
Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies, system architectures, IT ecosystems and assess potential privacy implications;
Experience with larger privacy projects to enhance overall privacy maturity.
Excellent and effective communication skills in English verbal and in written.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Privacy Law, Information Technology, or a related technical field;
Professional Privacy Certification (e.g. CIPP, CIPM, CIPT) or Privacy Engineering certification;
A minimum 5+ years’ privacy experience in a regulated industry (life sciences or tech preferred).
Experience with privacy tooling, such as OneTrust.
Additional Information
The position can be remote, hybrid or in-person at our office in Guadalajara or Tijuana.
Travel is estimated at 5% but will be flexible depending on business need.
