Privacy Operations Specialist
    

YOUR IMPACT 
You will provide strong assistance and facilitate the successful execution of tasks and projects led by the Privacy Director, ensuring compliance across multiple lines of business at OpenText. This role will also be responsible for assessing emerging privacy trends and developing global response strategies. You will make informed recommendations that balance business goals with compliance requirements, fostering harmony between the two. Therefore, you will utilize scalable strategies and exceptional problem-solving skills to navigate complex challenges while supporting the Privacy Director in driving privacy initiatives. 

 

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS 

Assist the Privacy Director in managing and overseeing privacy-related tasks and projects across various business units to ensure regulatory compliance.Support the development and implementation of privacy policies and procedures to align with global data protection laws and industry standards.Conduct privacy assessments and audits across different departments to identify risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities in current processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, IT, and security, to integrate privacy requirements into new projects, systems, and initiatives.Engagement in privacy awareness program Track and report on privacy metricsHelp build scalable privacy processes and solutions to enhance the organization’s privacy program and support global compliance efforts.
 

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED 

Possess a bachelor’s degree in law, computer science, business or technology, or a related field12+ years industry experience dealing with data protection and privacy issues globallyExcellent understanding and working knowledge of privacy principles, frameworks and legislation such as Privacy by Design, GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.Experience of data processing operations and privacy in the technology sector is preferableStrategic thinker with excellent legal and business judgment as well as a strong understanding and experience with international privacy lawsExperience working collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teamsVery good English language skills both written and spoken
