Job Title: Private Brands Business Manager

General Function

Grows private brand penetration through current portfolio development and innovation.  Conducts business reviews and executes joint business plans with suppliers in assigned portfolio. Develops and maintains relationship with private brand suppliers in assigned portfolio. Stays up-to-date on current market trends and competitive developments in order to continually enhance private brands.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Develops and maintains relationship with private brand suppliers in assigned portfolio.Develop innovation through new categories, items, and product lines. Tracks and prepares items for the new item review process.Stays up-to-date on current market trends and competitive developments in order to continually enhance private brands.Conducts business reviews and executes joint business plans with suppliers in assigned portfolio.Develops TA’s, deals and ad offer plan as requested for all mediums.Communicates with merchandising team on new and discontinued items.Works with the Category Manager on marketing events, promotions, and new item launches.Maintains relationship with Category Managers through regular meetings and planning.Lead Product Innovation efforts within the categories and suppliers assigned to you.Work in conjunction with Category Managers to create, maintain and execute an effective promotional plan for your assigned portfolio.Participates in category reviews and keeps up with current strategy in the overall categories in assigned portfolio.Reports to work when scheduled and on time.Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred. 3+ years’ experience in a creative, marketing, advertising or design environment.

Physical Requirements

Visual requirements include: ability to see detail at near and far range with or without correction.Must be physically able to perform light work: occasionally lifting or carrying objects of no more than 20 pounds, and frequent standing or walking.Must be able to perform the following physical activities: stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions

The duties of this position are performed in a general office environment. There is constant pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects in a day.
