Job Summary:  

A top-notch chef with high end restaurant/Michelin star experience is sought for a family with the highest of standards. The chosen candidate will work on a rotational basis alongside another long-term Chef for part of the week and will be required to assist in the preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the Family consisting of two adults and a teenager.

The family enjoy healthy and varied cuisines consisting of Eastern European, Mediterranean and Asian cuisines, as well as other cuisines from around the world. You will be required to adhere to dietary and allergins needs for the principles and guests, who may stay in residence for the purpose of having client meetings/breakfasts. Presentation of dishes and cohesive communication with the family’s other chef and other staff are of the highest importance.

The chef would be required in particular to source and order the finest ingredients, meat and fish, ensuring the best sourced produce available.

As well as another chef, the family employ three Butlers to coordinate most of the service but some planning and organisation at events/busy times may be required.

 

Job specification: 

Ensure the highest Michelin cooking standard and presentation at all times Seamless coordination with additional chef and other staff members Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner served every day when clients are in residence Preparation of Full Menu’s on daily basis for lunch and Dinner Experience with a wide range of cuisines (with Eastern European and Mediterranean proficiency a bonus) Taking direction and requests from principles and guests Cleaning and organisation of kitchen and storage areas Purchasing and placing orders for high-end produce Discretion and absolute trustworthiness Cooking daily staff lunches and dinners for up to 10 staff members Travel to France in the summer periods if and when required (accommodation provided)
