Position Overview
State Street has made a multi-year strategic investment in Private Markets. As we continue to expand our product capabilities and market share, we are looking for an experienced, dynamic and motivated private equity product lead to join our global private markets product team to lead our client solutioning for private equity inclusive of fund of funds.
Primary Responsibilities
The Private Equity Solutions Lead will have responsibility for creating and developing commercial solutions and proposals for private equity products in order to contribute to the firm’s ability to capture the private markets growth levels set as part of our Private Markets strategy.
Additionally, the MD will work with the SVP Private Equity lead to manage the global P&L and to also identify and execute on specific priorities and sales/client targets.
Client solutions is the main responsibility of this role, however, participation in the product development and management of the private equity end to end platform will also be part of this remit. You will collaborate closely with commercial teams and operating teams to drive superior outcomes for State Street and our global private equity clients.
Provide subject matter expertise - strong background in the private markets space for the Private Equity asset class and have a solid understanding of the end-to-end private equity strategic operating model and technology stack. Ability to develop solutions that can be deployed for complex clientsDrive solutions - lead and partner with teams across our global organization to define and solution critical deals and to ensure that the relevant subject matter experts are consulted, and that critical design assumptions and strategic options are thoroughly exploredMaintain a relationship with top clients and continuously build a referenceable client list’ helping to identify co-development partners to expand our market shareRepresent State Street at industry events/conferences and hold internal/external product office hoursResearch & Market Analysis - Ensure key competitor intelligence is updated continuously, and emerging industry trends are captured where relevantPartner with the CCO organization to develop a robust pipeline. Provide guidance and direction to the team to drive business development, including providing support in Request for Information / Proposals, ensuring quality responses and negotiating/approving commercial for the product teamProvide any required post-sales guidance to support the smooth implementation of the proposed solution
Education & Preferred Qualifications
5+ years' experience desirableDepth of experience in Private Equity required, either from asset servicing, or directly from within Private Equity and Fund employersDemonstrable experience managing and growing a commercial revenue lineStrong Private Equity network, preferably globallyOutstanding Leadership skillsAre you the right candidate? Salary Range:
$170,000 - $267,500 AnnualThe range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
